For sale is an AMAZING, vintage, Whiting & Davis, Art Deco, gold mirrored mesh chain maille, flapper style purse with an engraved, hinged top, kiss closure, and a short, chain strap! The purse is a rare, Whiting & Davis, style. It is a mirrored, gold tone mesh with a matching chain strap. It has a very Art Deco, geometric, engraved and elaborate design on the hinged top with the kiss closure clasp!

The top has a hinged style closure where the kiss closure locks it into place at the top and a pleated or pouch design that allows it to hold more because the bottom is roomy at the corners. Inside is lined with the traditional, Whiting & Davis peach colored fabric. The interior of the hinged top is stamped 'WHITING & DAVIS CO', '2871', and 'Made in USA'.-see pictures.

It is a unique, quality, purse that is the epitome of early 20th century style. It is in excellent, vintage condition, especially for its age. There are no mesh flaws or loss that are to be expected with a nearly 100 year old purse. This is a great little bag that is stylish in any era!
